Two day conference, exhibition and awards ceremony for over 500 colleagues.

The Challenge

Following a merger between rentalcars.com and booking.com, a colleague survey highlighted a real disconnect between colleagues and the Leadership Team.

The survey also revealed that colleagues did not have a clear understanding of the business vision or strategy.

Our approach

We analysed the survey results and held working sessions with a selection of colleagues and the leadership team to understand more about the people, communications preferences, the business, and the daily challenges.

The Solution

Working collaboratively with the Leadership Team we created an event series that brought the leaders face-to-face in small workshop style sessions with every colleague in the Manchester and Barcelona office.

This style of event allowed us to directly address the feedback that the Leadership Team had become faceless within the organisation, whilst also bringing the new company wide strategy to life through interactive sessions, gamification and moderated debates.

The results

A post event survey found that 98% of colleagues attended what was an optional event, and of those who attended, 97% stated that they found the session a good use of their time and that they learnt something new by attending.

From content gathered during the event via interviews, along with post event feedback, we created an on-going comms magazine ‘Our Vision’ to specifically keep colleagues up to date on the new strategy and business priorities.
